The 227mm MLRS was introduced into the British Army to replace the ageing M107 gun. Its main user is the heavy Artillery Regiments
MLRS, which is self loading in under ten minutes with two rocket pod containers each of which holds six rockets.
All 12 rockets can deliver a devastating 7728 bomblets for soft skin vehicles or large concentrations of troops. They can also deliver 336 scatterable anti-tank mines.
MLRS operates from hides usually as a battery of 9 launchers. Once they have fired they will move to a new firing position or to a location to reload this will avoid detection from counter attack.
